Required Items for opening new accounts

Forms of ID must be from different issuing agencies.   
One or more of the following documents can be used. 
Please provide 2 forms of ID from the list below for all signers.

  • Government-issued photo ID or driver's license
  • Matrícula Consular Card
  • Social Security Card
  • Credit or Debit Card
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate (Applies to Minors Only)

Membership Eligibility

You are eligible to open an account at Valley Strong Credit Union through any one of the following qualifiers:

  • Any person who lives, works, worships or attends school in the following counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Solano, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Stanislaus, or Tulare.
  • Businesses and other legal entities located in the following counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Solano, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Stanislaus, or Tulare.
  • Any immediate family¹ or household² member of an individual eligible to open an account or currently an account holder at Valley Strong Credit Union.
  • All members of the Financial Fitness Association are eligible to open an account. To learn more about our partnership with FFA, click here. 

¹Immediate family includes: spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsibling and adoptive relationships.

²Household members are considered to be individuals who live in the same household or family unit.
